Roadmap Update

We have heard the artist community loud and clear: it is time to modernize EntryThingy, while preserving the features and functionality we know the art community loves.

The first thing we are doing is updating our main site (what you're looking at now!). For now, the rest of the EntryThingy interface as you know it, will still look the same. As we continue making progress, you will notice that the EntryThingy login and interface will also change to a more modern version. We'll keep you posted with our progress as we go.

Here are some of the changes you should expect as EntryThingy gets a new look.

Near-Term Additions

We've heard these requests many times from our gallery and artist partners. These are just a few of the things to expect:

  • A beautiful new look for the EntryThingy interface, making it more intuitive to use
  • Clearer labels for artists statements and descriptions, to avoid confusion during the call application process
  • Extra optional fields (e.g. exact art dimensions & Instagram handles!)
  • Fixing the password reset flow, preventing artists from being locked out so easily
  • Faster reflection of 'Submitted' status after payment of an entry fee
  • Bulk update statuses, so galleries don't have to go one-by-one when updating submissions stats
  • Making the download and emailer features more reliable and intuitive
  • Resolving lingering SSL issues once and for all
  • Updated video guides in the help section
  • Empowering artists to edit their entry after payment - right up until the show deadline
  • Options to show jurors each artwork individually, instead of grouping pieces by artist

A Sample of Future Projects

Things we are excited to add for our trusted partners, that will take a little longer to build

  • Adding more payment options for galleries - beyond just PayPal
  • Members-only shows. Password-protected or limited to pre-selected artists
  • Overhauling the artist login so it's easy to views the calls you've applied to and the work you've uploaded
  • Rebuilding the calls list with fun new search tools and richer details
